In creating a parlor for a busy Houston doctor to unwind, we prioritized artwork from the jazzy city where she completed her residency in a way that would “harmonize” (see what we did there?) with pieces of her existing furniture. Ceiling lattice work and minty blue contrast with bold tones in the art, rug, and furniture, creating a sophisticated, elegant space that both stands out from the ordinary and creates a unique space to relax, indulge, and entertain.

Soft pastels keep leather and cowhide from becoming overtly masculine, while an acrylic table and beaches allow the rug to shine. Traditional curves of a wingback chair contrast with acrylic and a weighted pendant captures a bygone era of elegance and industry.
Soft lighting and acoustics are achieved here with linen drapery panels and layered lighting options, allowing a seamless transformation from day to night, when it’s time to relax and enjoy how far you’ve come!
